The keenly contested first edition of Miss Africa beauty pageant, which took place on Saturday, April 30 at the Gold Reef City, Johannesburg-South Africa saw Ghana’s representative, Rebecca Asamoah winning big the coveted crown on the night.

Powered by Air Rwanda, the beauty pageant was hosted by Weza Solange and Richard. The pageant was featured by beauty queens from across African countries and Ghana was represented Miss Ghana 2015, 2nd runner up Rebecca Asamoah.
If it were to be based on only votes then Nigeria, South Africa and Angola representatives should have won in that order but since the organizers were looking for other factors in aside the votes, Ghana’s representative, Rebecca emerged the overall winner at the end of the day.

The first runner up was from Zambia while the 2nd runner up was from South Africa. Miss Africa is all about women empowerment.


Congratulations to Ghana’s Rebecca Asamoah, Miss Ghana 2015 2nd runner up for winning the first Miss Africa Beauty Pageant.
