Church accuses actor Eddie Nartey of ‘blackmail’

Elders and pastors of the Destiny Empowerment Chapel International have poured scorn on reports claiming that its founder, Prophet Bernard Afresa Taylor, is engaged in other immoral activities with female members of the church. Church officials say the reports being circulated across some online news portals concerning Prophet Taylor’s alleged sexual relationships with some women is engineered and sponsored by actor Eddie Nartey.

The actor, who was once a member of the church is alleged to have left the church when the man of God refused to support him financially on a movie he was working on. “We can only describe what Eddie is doing as trying to blackmail the man of God, but we can assure him Prophet Bernard Taylor’s reputation is intact and no dirty blackmails by Eddie Nartey will wash his reputation down,” an official of the church who pleaded for anonymity told this reporter.

Against that backdrop, the church warned Eddie Nartey and other disgruntled members to desist from the continuous circulation of private messages exchanged between the Prophet and his close associates.

However, when contacted Eddie Nartey did not attend to several calls seeking for his side of the matter, let alone replying to our text messages.

Apostle Bernard Afresa Taylor is the president of the Bernard Taylor World Outreach, an apostolic and prophetic wing of ministry dedicated to the restitution of mankind’s heritage in Christ Jesus, and sharpening lives for a better tomorrow.

He is also the founder and General Overseer of the Destiny Empowerment Chapel International in Ghana and abroad. Apostle Taylor is the host of the Prophetic Convocation, an annual international conference that brings believers from all walks of life together.
