David Oscar: I haven’t turned to music because I failed at comedy

Finally, Ghanaian comedian, David Oscar has officially declared that he is done with the comedy and set to join the music industry, particularly as a reggae artist. Right after his declaration, rumors started circulating that as he

was a failed comedian and his fans used to insult him most of the times, that’s why he left comedy. But contrary to this, while speaking exclusively at the interview, Oscar denied the rumors that he left comedy as he was a failed comedian, by saying: “I’m a music artiste and I declared on a different platform that I am done with comedy and I think a lot of people missed that”.

Moreover, he revealed, “It gets to a point where you cannot express certain experiences and certain feelings you have cannot be expressed comedically and being an artist I’m always in constant search for ways to express myself and I think that music came in at the right time.” “I think that I came in at a time to play my role and if you were to measure the success of GH comedy based on the role that some of us played, it has been very successful so I wonder why anybody would think that I am failed comedian that is why am doing music”.

He also said that, he will try his best to become a well-known Ghanaian reggae artist soon as he will take inspiration from the best artists of all time like Bob Marley, Morgan Heritage and Peter Tosh. Usually, David Oscar has been criticized badly for his pathetic sense of humor as well as apparent unfunny jokes. Quite a while ago, he tried to defend his sense of humor by saying; his jokes are that much muddled for the basic man, to get it.
