Former Ghana skipper Stephen Appiah has confirmed he has started taking courses to become a coach five years after hanging up his boots.Appiah who is regarded by many as the best Black Stars captain in modern era last played competitive in 2011.
Appiah has been involved in some projects and charity games, the latest being the Vodafone peace match to come off later this year in Accra and Kumasi.But he confirms for the first time he is taking his batches. “Well I am into some projects and player management. I normally don’t like talking about these things but with you I can say a lot of things,” Appiah told Accra based-Citi FM
“I have finally enrolled to do my coaching batches and if even I do not become a coach I think it’s important I take up the course.”Appiah had 64 caps for Ghana and played at the 2006 and 2010 world cup in South Africa.
